From Derbyshire to Bath by Horse and (Mostly) Train 🚄
So, you might be thinking, "Pink Tutu, how on earth did you get to Bath? Did you finally become a real-life unicorn and fly?" Well, darlings, almost! I did make a pit stop in Nottingham, my gorgeous granny’s house, where she whipped up a storm of her famous strawberry tarts! 🍓 Those little darlings were the fuel for my journey onward, a scenic train ride that gave me plenty of time to catch up on some sleep (after a full day of sequins, of course!) and let my imagination wander. Let's just say that arriving in Bath after all that journey was pure magic, the sunshine glinting off those honey-coloured buildings… Pure enchantment! 💖
A Little Bit of History and a Whole Lot of Pink! 🏛️ 💖
Bath, as we all know, is brimming with history! Roman baths, stunning Georgian architecture, a cobbled high street that's a shopper's dream... It’s a bit of a contrast to my Derbyshire home, let me tell you! But one thing they have in common? Both are just dripping with charm, and of course, a chance to share some sparkles! ✨ As I strutted through the city, I felt like I was starring in my very own vintage film, tutu billowing in the gentle breeze. I’m pretty sure I got a few "aww"s and “you go girl”s from the locals. It's my favourite feeling - sharing a little bit of pink tutu magic with everyone around.
A Tutu-Tastic Time at the Theatre! 🎭
Naturally, no trip to Bath would be complete without a visit to the theatre! And oh my darling, the Theatre Royal Bath did NOT disappoint. I had the absolute pleasure of seeing a stunning performance of "The Nutcracker", and let me tell you, the costumes were absolutely phenomenal! 😍 The whole evening was just pure joy - I even had the chance to have a little chat with some of the ballerinas after the show! (Spoiler: They LOVED my pink tutu. It was a proud moment for this little Derbyshire queen!) 👑
Shopping Adventures and Finding the Perfect Pink! 🛍️ 💖
Okay, so I’m not going to lie – Bath's independent shops are seriously amazing! From cute little boutiques to vintage stores and artisan craft shops, there’s something for everyone, and of course, every single shop was just begging for some Pink Tutu Sparkles magic. 💖 Let's just say I treated myself to a couple of stunning new dresses and a truly divine new shade of pink for my makeup (it’s like a cherry blossom blush, if you can imagine!).
Bath - City of Dreams and Dancing Queen Dreams! 👑
Speaking of dreams, darlings, I feel like this city just sparks them! 💫 Every corner has an echo of the past and a promise for the future - kind of like a drag queen, right? Always pushing the boundaries, shining brightly and inspiring a little bit of joy and wonder everywhere we go. 💖
Bath, you’ve definitely won a place in my little pink tutu-loving heart, and I just know I'll be back! Maybe for the ballet, maybe for a vintage tea party (complete with tutu, of course!), maybe for the Roman baths themselves… Oh darling, the possibilities are endless, and just like my dreams, they're all in shades of the most gorgeous pink!
