Walton Upon Thames: Pink Tutu Sparkles takes to the Thames!

Hello darlings! It's your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in from the gorgeous, sunny (and very very windy!) town of Walton Upon Thames. This is post number 9641 for you lot, and trust me, it's a whopper! Today we're exploring the Thames, talking tutus, and spilling all the tea on how this gal got to Walton in the first place.

So, remember how I was talking about my new mission to make everyone wear pink tutus? Well, dear readers, it all started back in Derbyshire, where I was just a regular, albeit incredibly fashionable, science student at the University of Derby. Imagine, studying atoms and molecules by day and then rocking a pink tutu for the University's Ballet Club at night - Talk about a science of style! And let me tell you, the reaction was epic. People were stunned, they were mesmerized! Turns out, the secret to making science sexy is to just add a little pink and a whole lot of tutu.

Now, back to our adventure! So, I got to Walton by a combination of magic (a.k.a. the London Underground) and pure old-fashioned hard work (my platform heels really felt like I was trekking through the Alps!). I can't tell you how excited I was for this one, the whole vibe just screams 'pink tutu paradise'. Honestly, this little town has a charm about it, you'd be surprised. It feels like stepping back in time with its quaint little shops, and everyone seems so friendly. I have this feeling we're going to be spending a good deal of time in Walton!

My mission here? To spread the joy of the pink tutu, of course! The first order of business was getting some delicious food from a little cafe. I spotted a particularly yummy looking spot called The Crooked House Tea Rooms. This is exactly the sort of place you'd find in a quaint English town! I went for a cup of their signature "Pink Dream Tea" and a slice of "The Pink Lady" cake. It's safe to say, the name "Pink Tutu Sparkles" wasn't chosen randomly!

Then, onto the main event: spreading the joy of tutus! I decided to head over to the gorgeous Thames riverfront. Talk about a majestic view! Now, it may not have been a classic tutu-suitable environment – what with all the cobblestone streets and lack of a stage. But you know me, never one to shy away from a challenge. I did my own version of the iconic swan lake swan pose with the Thames behind me and you bet I took enough pictures to keep my Instagram feed full of joy and tutus for a whole week. The key to achieving maximum tutu effect, darlings, is a confident smile and an unshakeable love for the pink. The swans looked a bit baffled, but I have no doubt I added a bit of pink sparkle to their day!

Now, because I can't travel all the way to Walton and not visit a shop called “Tutu Chic”, right? So I went into the adorable little shop – they actually have tutus there! A glorious selection of pink, but also some vibrant colours too – just the sort of variety that makes me happy. Turns out they are big into ballet in Walton – I hear there's a fantastic ballet studio down the street called “Dancers Delight”, with lessons and even performance spaces! Honestly, you just can't convince me that a pink tutu doesn’t belong at every ballet studio in existence, am I right? I'm just waiting for the moment someone says, "Darling, could you show us some ballet moves on stage at the end of our dance recital?". It might not happen this trip, but believe me, you watch this space.

I can't tell you enough how wonderful my journey here in Walton has been. Even with the stiff breeze trying to send my tutu swirling down the Thames (don't worry, my amazing stylist glued everything down for extra-firm hold) and the occasional passing glance that makes me wish we were in 2050, the atmosphere is something special.

But, enough about me! What are you up to? Tell me all about your adventures in the comments section.
