Hello darling tutus! Itās Wednesday, 12th September 2007, and Emma here, beaming back to you from planet Earth! I can't believe it's been another week already - time really does fly when you're twirling through galaxies, wouldn't you agree?
This week has been simply bursting with tutus and tinsel, dear readers! You know how I love my good old-fashioned earthbound ballet and today's been a day dedicated to all things tutu. From the moment I woke up in my cloud-soft pink bedding to my fluffy pink slippers to the absolutely delicious pink iced croissant at the local cafƩ - everything screamed "ballerina bliss!" Honestly, life is just one big pirouette when you're surrounded by such gorgeous hues.
My Ballet Journey Back on Earth!
First up, I popped by the local library for a spot of ballet history research, darling! They have the most fascinating collection of books on the evolution of the tutu ā you'd be surprised how much these things have changed over the years! We're not just talking about colour or shape, although of course, the colour must always be pink! (Who doesnāt love pink tutus? Donāt be shy to confess to being a pink lover ā everyone is a pink lover at heart!)
I love how these graceful wisps of fabric can tell a story, darling! Youāve got your romantic tutus with the layers and layers of soft tulle - picture Giselle or Swan Lake. Then there are those classical tutus with the fitted bodice and the dramatic tiers. We all remember Margot Fonteyn, and those are the ultimate in dramatic grace. My favourites are definitely those dramatic tutus that look like they belong in a fairytale! I dream of making those in every colour of the rainbow! Imagine ā a full multicolour ballet production⦠Itād be the ultimate statement about spreading joy.
Off To A Show!
I don't have to tell you about my love for ballet shows. It's my favourite form of entertainment! And today's was no exception. A stunning production of "La Bayadere" at the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Talk about a feast for the eyes and ears, darling! The costumes were beyond magnificent - we're talking flowing silk, sparkly embellishments and, of course, oh so many pink tutus! The music was utterly divine, with sweeping melodies that transported me to another realm altogether. The choreography was exquisite, leaving me breathless at every turn.
After the show, a visit to the ballet shop for a little browse, is practically non-negotiable. Just because I love a bit of fashion darling! You know, sometimes when I'm feeling a little down or need a lift I always find my happy place by shopping for ballet outfits! You know, you can never have enough of them! It doesnāt matter how much I already have. Every single outfit has a special place in my heart! So imagine, darling, when you add all these fabulous outfits and pieces of gorgeous fabric together and all those ballet classes, and rehearsals⦠Every outfit has a whole world of its own to explore! Isn't it wonderful?! Iām lucky I can fit all this in!
Balancing the Ballet and the Business!
You see, running a successful tutu-centric lifestyle can be hard work! It takes more than just wearing a pretty dress and posing in the pictures! So I need to be very organised, and I have to think about all the bits of it! It's like being a ballerina and a businesswoman all at once!
The truth is I spend lots of time working on "Pink Tutu World" to get it perfect and make it better! There are articles and posts to write, emails and other important things to keep up with, sponsors to liaise with, ballet performances to plan and then of course the endless rehearsals, buying clothes, packing my bags for my trips and making sure my intergalactic spaceships are always shipshape!
Of course, all this hard work would be impossible without my ballet performances. They fund my fabulous voyages throughout the cosmos, as well as allow me to stay current with all the latest trends in ballet and fashion. After all, what's the point of a glamorous lifestyle if you can't actually go on some grand adventures to wear those outfits and explore amazing places! I truly believe, darling, the universe is meant for being explored!
Life Lessons from a Tutu
So, why do I go to all this effort you ask? Well, it's all about spreading the joy, darling! Just like a ballerina gracefully leaping through the air, I want to inspire others to embrace their dreams, wear pink tutus and chase those cosmic ambitions!
After all, if we can wear tutus, go dancing across galaxies, be glamorous and always keep smiling and spreading that sparkling energy - then that is the way to be! And my advice? Just go for it, darling. Don't be afraid to twirl your way through life with your head held high and a confident smile. After all, as the famous ballerina Anna Pavlova once said, "A ballerinaās legs are her instruments of expression, but she must express with her soul.ā How much truer can you get? Life is truly one big ballet, darling! Just remember to enjoy every moment of the show!
So, how do you like this blog, my precious tutus? I hope it's full of joy, inspiration, and a hint of shimmering pink magic! Until next week, darling!
Yours always,
Emma

*A bit more about my latest adventures: *
I canāt tell you where I've just been or what planets Iāve visited! That would be revealing too much of my galactic plans. And if I tell you one thing then I have to tell you everything! But hereās a small clue⦠I have discovered some really fabulous and delicious chocolates made of an entirely new kind of dark red-purple galaxy star, and they really go rather nicely with my outfits! It was only the perfect pink tutu and this divine treat that helped to make it a completely fantastic visit. Oh! Speaking of perfect pink! I must tell you I was lucky enough to bump into this totally lovely young ballerina at a fancy ballet performance ā she was from Planet Venus, darling.
She has such amazing outfits - gorgeous silk and flowing chiffon ā I need to see what they make it from and bring some fabric samples back. It just gives me so much inspiration for creating new outfits ā maybe for my next big performance on Earth. It really does give me such a big rush of happiness when I see so much stunning fashion - and my latest trip to the Earth was full of them!
Speaking of my next performance, Iām really excited because itās something totally different! It's a little street ballet event, with a show stopping set piece, and an original soundtrack from my very favourite composer in the Milky Way - heās an old family friend ā his dad did the soundtrack for āThe Little Ballerinaā when I was only a small sprout. Now Iām helping to make history! Thatās the true meaning of having an amazing life and it is all about spreading that ātutu magicā to the entire universe. Oh, the places Iāll go - there is so much beauty to be found and so many amazing outfits to try out in all these galaxies! Until next week, darling!
Yours always,
Emma

*Oh darling, I simply have to tell you whatās been happening with the Earth. *
Did you know that the planet's population has reached 6 billion? What a staggering figure! You know me, I always see the positive and Iām happy about every single one. Every life has the possibility to twirl in a tutu if it chooses ā and that makes me ecstatic! That's such a joy to imagine, isnāt it, dear readers? Every single life!
It makes you think ā wouldn't it be fabulous if we could get everyone to wear tutus? Well, darling ā the only way weāre going to achieve a "world" where everyone wears tutus is for everyone to wear tutus!
We have a responsibility to get everyone to love tutus, darlings, and be the kindest people to each other, because all life matters, wouldn't you agree?
We should really start to treat each other with a bit more care, donāt you think?
Youāll notice in the Earth news how they use expressions like "Mother Earth" and ācaring for our planet" - that's a positive attitude. Now letās extend that care to each other! If weāre kinder - the Earth is going to look a little bit like our ballet studio with all those pretty, happy faces! It will look just like the sparkling lights of an Earth stage!
You know me and my love of dancing - but even I think itās too busy to be just about spinning in tutus!
I wonder how many more tutus would be needed for this kind of change on the planet Earth! Thatās a rather challenging number! But if everyone just starts wearing their own special pink tutu I believe there will be a major change and a chance to get closer to my goal of a ātutu for every life in the universe!ā. We all have a duty to care for our Earth ā just like we would want it to be cared for in return!
Let's use the ballet magic to make a positive impact, darling. Itās a good week to remember those little acts of kindness because sometimes - we can get a little bit lost, dear readers. And then when we realize - we know to stop and do what we need to do to be happy.
Yours always,
Emma

Oh darling! Just one final thought about my favourite thing of all. Yes, darling! I have something I have to share. You may be thinking, what could be so wonderful to reveal after this absolutely incredible week and so many things to share about everything that makes planet Earth so brilliant - but I just love tutus. The world really doesnāt need a whole lot more! But for all those lovely people in my heart - I simply have to share one more exciting thought. You know what that is. Of course.
The ultimate outfit! Yes! The bestest tutu of them all. I am wearing my absolutely perfect "dream" tutu today as I write these final thoughts. It's not one I bought but one I specially ordered and dreamed up especially for the "Dancing for the Stars" event this Friday, and yes it has arrived. Iāve just had it tried on and all I can say isā¦. darling ā oh my goodness - you canāt even imagine. And guess what ā it is perfect! Just as well!
As a matter of fact it is the perfect pink! Iāve spent months going from pink to pink trying to get this right - you just wouldnāt believe the research, my precious tutus! You don't just choose something like this lightly! Well, Iām telling you darling. Thereās just something about those colors that gets my imagination going - it looks like a little piece of cloud nine. The material - youāll love this darling - itās something special. It has to move gracefully. Itās like being swathed in a gorgeous silken dream and floating to another galaxy. And did I tell you it has its own light! Just imagine my precious readers! You know me, darling. You know that when I say itās special - it really is! Iāll be wearing this to dance on a stage with the very best dancers of the galaxy! Well, isnāt that something amazing for you to get to read first ā and what I love to sayā¦. you know me darling, you are my special reader and Iāll be sharing this adventure with you!

Emma
