Hello my darlings! 🩰✨
It's Emma here, back from another fabulous intergalactic adventure! I’ve had the most wonderful time exploring a planet called "Earth," a delightful little gem in the Milky Way galaxy, and it’s overflowing with… you guessed it! Pink! Oh, and tutus. Plenty of them. Honestly, this place is a dream come true for any tutu-loving ballerina like myself!
Now, I'll admit, the travel wasn't all smooth sailing. I left the spaceship right next to the space-port which was quite chic and the entrance to my "holiday lodge" as they called it, looked pretty underwhelming. You wouldn't believe it, but my 'room' in this Earth hotel was... well, plain. There was a lack of colour, hardly any shimmer and definitely no pink to be seen! Gasps dramatically.
Anyway, the minute I got here, I just had to dive into Earth's fashion scene! Luckily, the local shopping mall had a vast array of dazzling pink outfits. There was a department store with clothes that really stood out and they had a very kind lady who told me about their latest tutu collection which I immediately snapped up! Let's just say, I am going to rock these tutus back on Planet Pink when I return, or, maybe they’ll go in a museum for historical reference?! Who knows?
But the real treat came from this fascinating, captivating spectacle called a "ballet show." You see, on Earth, they have these grand theatres, decked out in red velvet and twinkling chandeliers. The place felt so grand! Then, when the music began, a troupe of dancers in exquisitely designed tutus glided across the stage, their movements like flowing water and their expressions, oh so beautiful. It was so moving, I nearly shed a tear. It was breathtaking! My heart was singing!
A Touch of Earthly Ballet History
And while we're talking ballet, you just have to know a bit about this captivating dance on Earth. Ballet's been around for centuries, right? We're talking like… forever ago. Well, practically!
They had this thing called the Renaissance, in the 15th and 16th centuries, when art and dance were booming and that was when ballet got started! Apparently, a group of Italian dancers, wearing extravagant, heavily embellished outfits, (which probably looked a bit like the clothes we see in historical documentaries!) strutted their stuff in royal courts. They wowed the crowds, believe me!
And then there’s this "Marie", who, I think, became Queen of France during this Renaissance time. Marie had a great eye for fashion! Ahem, ahem. (As we all do!).
Well, Marie she loved dance, so she took the Italian ballet dancing and started changing it a bit. In the 17th Century, in fact! You know, things changed all the time on this planet and it got even more fascinating in the 18th Century, because, my lovelies, it’s when ballet went mainstream on Earth! Can you imagine? Just like what we are trying to achieve? 🩰
Tututu Tales - Earth’s Tutu History!
The original tutus of Earth looked like little knee-length skirts with lots of ruffles and trimmings and the ladies even wore petticoats to add volume to their tutus! Imagine those outfits. We can totally see them on our runways in Planet Pink, right?
Now the real tutu arrived in the 1840s. This one’s more our style; a light, layered skirt with plenty of delicate tulle and netting. It helped dancers to leap and pirouette like nobody’s business! You know the stuff!
It's been interesting to watch how Earth's fashion styles and dance trends changed. And of course, pink tutus came in the 1980s in all their fluffy glory. So you can see why Earth’s ballet is pretty inspiring, right?
Pink Tutu Goals!
Anyway, back to Planet Pink, and our huge dream! My dear ballerina followers, let’s keep on encouraging everyone to join us on our mission! It’s going to be like Earth! The most fabulous fashion and dance place in the whole of the Universe! We can achieve it! I know it’s happening! So let’s spread the word! Go for Pink Tutu Style! Wear your pink tutus out and about on Earth. Send me your selfies to “Pink Tutu Planet.” 🩰
I can’t wait for our next planet-hopping adventure. I’ve already made bookings on a new spacecraft that lands in Mars! There might not be tutus and dancing, so I have to work on getting those tutus into space, you know, spreading the message across the universe. Mars might need a bit of help getting up to speed and ready for its first Pink Tutu ball!
Right, time for me to catch my space shuttle! I am really keen to get my sparkly new Pink Tutu to the space shuttle. And as I said earlier, there was only one color in my hotel, black. I made sure my room was covered in all the pink colours! Pink was on my suitcase, Pink was on my bags, my space outfit, my hat, my space boots, everything was covered in a luscious, vibrant pink shade, to match the magnificent pink tutu.
Have a happy Wednesday! Keep shining brightly, my loves!
Emma
