Hey lovelies! It's Emma here, back from another whirlwind adventure in the cosmos, and let me tell you, this one was a real feather in my tutu! I landed back on Earth a mere 24 hours ago, having left my celestial footprints on the dusty moon of Planet 4573 - a real fashion forward world I tell you, they love a good cosmic bling. But as you know, darling, I always return to my favourite planet: Earth!
Why? Well, because there's nothing quite like seeing a live ballet performance under the starry sky, with the scent of spring flowers wafting in the air. Plus, there’s the excitement of shopping! 🛍️ You see, the intergalactic runway changes so quickly, darling. Today’s must-have nebula print may be next week’s galactic yawn, so I've gotta stay on top of things.
Speaking of which, it's Wednesday! And as you know, darlings, that means a brand-new Pink Tutu World blog post just for you! So pour yourself a glass of pink champagne (or sparkling grape juice if you're under age!) and let's get into this week's extravaganza.
This week was a real doozy! As I was leaving the celestial dance studios on Planet 4573, where I was giving a tutorial on the cosmic pirouette, my space captain, Captain Sparklebutt (don’t ask about the name, dear!), received an emergency transmission. 📡
“Emergency landing required on Planet Earth, coordinates...,” he droned in his gruff space voice, but honestly I wasn’t paying attention because, darling, you know me, I love a good surprise!
Now, on planet Earth, you wouldn't think there was a reason to perform an emergency landing in the middle of a ballet-obsessed Thursday! Oh, I know, what could it possibly be? You just HAVE to know! It’s enough to make a tutu tremble with anticipation.
So, Captain Sparklebutt steered us toward Derbyshire, the beautiful county I call home. We touched down in a field, but we were in the middle of Derby. Talk about embarrassing, right? A field in the city?
Now, don’t judge. We all have our quirks. Anyway, the transmission revealed that there was a grand ballet performance happening right there in the centre of town: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”!
A performance on the date of 17th April 2019, you see. 📅 Why, it was absolutely magical! The Derbyshire Arts Centre did such a magnificent job, with the performance radiating that special Derby flair.
Well, after Captain Sparklebutt parked the ship in the town center (talk about a conversation piece, darling), the ship's airlock automatically deployed. And I went to see it!
From my spaceship window I gazed at the performance: such stunning costumes, fabulous lighting and oh, so much exquisite dancing! And there were little fairies too, in beautiful sparkly costumes. There’s a reason I love the dreamy performances of the 19th Century, lovelies, there’s nothing more glamorous! 💖
I felt a shiver down my spine, darling, the excitement! This wasn't a casual Thursday ballet performance; this was magic, pure magic. As if to accentuate that feeling of wonder, the most adorable girl, around eight years old, saw the spaceship outside. She gasped! And started dancing her way towards me, spinning her tiny pink ballerina tutu!
I waved to her and, feeling a huge burst of love for this darling, threw a bunch of biodegradable “Cosmic Rainbow” glitter my way! Oh, I knew that glitter would fly! A wave of dazzling magic flew toward the darling girl as I swished the air with my special sparkly stick.
It truly felt like a magical night. My heart danced.
We have to get everyone dancing, don’t we? In the cosmic spirit of this beautiful, whimsical dance of a world, I knew exactly what I had to do!
I had to add another line to my planet Earth bucket list! I had to find out where they made the cutest little ballerina tutu I could find and buy it for my tiny ballerina fan. Because you know, darlings, my pink-tutu love is truly intergalactic, spanning not just planet earth but far beyond the Milky Way!
The local dance shop had something rather lovely but they only had large tutus and, quite honestly, lovelies, if there is one thing I can’t bear it’s too much frill, especially for children. I mean, I love me a really big tutu! And of course, it has to be pink. But children are precious, they need the space to move and flow.
So I sent Captain Sparklebutt to fetch a special new one for my mini-ballet superstar and her mother. It arrived just before the ballet performance had finished.
As they came towards the ship, that lovely, shy, mini-ballerina beamed and giggled.
We are always learning, my lovelies! And let me tell you, that mini-dancer, with the spark in her eye and the twinkle in her feet, made me feel like my universe was made entirely of Pink Tutu magic.
I think she has truly started the cosmic revolution that my heart has dreamed of, for ages! I’ve finally found my mission on Planet Earth, to make tutus a symbol of our beautiful human-kind!
She gave me the sweetest hug I’ve ever received and my ship glowed. I can’t wait to see what happens next, on my adventures around the cosmos!

Pink Tutu World Planet Earth Bucket List UpdateNow, here are a few things that will make my pink heart flutter!
Visit the London Coliseum. It's got such amazing architecture, such amazing shows, so many fabulous dancers in fabulous costumes! It will be just delightful, especially because it's home to the legendary English National Ballet! I know they will have some stunning performances I just have to see, I’ve heard rumors of them having a whole performance set to some fabulous Stravinsky and Chopin! It will definitely have the right amount of drama for me!
Find that perfect ballet store in London! It just has to be out there, lovelies! Maybe they even sell extra large tutus! One thing for sure, London is an amazing city for spotting fantastic tutus. I mean, this must be the capital of everything amazing.
Have tea in the heart of Derbyshire. I want to find some of the little bakeries that are so famous for tea and cakes. This is such a tradition in my beautiful home county, and what better way to honor English heritage than by embracing that quintessential British tradition? 🫖🍰
I must dash now, my lovelies, but before I go, I want to remind you: Pink Tutu World is for everyone!
