Pink Tutu World: Planet Earth - Post #1252 - 24th April 2019 - Intergalactic Tutu Travels!

Hello my darlings! Welcome back to Pink Tutu World, your weekly dose of all things pink, fluffy and twirly!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another installment of my Planet Earth blog. It's been a whirlwind of a week, as always, filled with ballet, sparkle, and oh-so-much pink. Let me tell you, being a tutu-clad intergalactic traveller is no walk in the park, but it is a whole lot of fun!

This week I've been busy prepping for my upcoming ballet performances in the Andromeda Galaxy - you wouldn't believe the queue for the make-up artist, absolutely crazy! But the highlight of the week has to be my trip to Earth for the unveiling of the latest collection from "Tututopia", a heavenly realm on Planet Earth dedicated to all things tulle, feathers and sequins. Oh, the exquisite craftsmanship! My little tutu heart was bursting.

For today's post, I wanted to talk about the truly magical city of New York on Earth. You see, dear readers, New York holds a special place in my tutu-wearing heart. It's a city that just begs to be twirled in, a place where even the concrete seems to shimmer with a pink, tutu-loving glow.

The Tutu Tales of New York

There is simply no place like it. It's where Broadway whispers its tales, where the energy is electric, and where everyone seems to have their own little pink dream. From the towering skyscrapers to the bustling streets, it's a symphony of sights, sounds and, most importantly, style!

But beyond the hustle and bustle, New York boasts a vibrant, exciting, and utterly enthralling ballet scene. Just walking into Lincoln Center, my tutu felt like it was doing a little happy dance! And then there was the American Ballet Theatre! I absolutely loved it! The talent, the passion, the artistry – it just blew my mind.

After a whirlwind evening at the theatre, my inner shopaholic kicked in. It was time for a little tutu-shopping spree! Let me tell you, there are so many incredible boutique stores tucked away in New York's hidden corners, overflowing with gorgeous, twirly delights!

I had to snap up this fabulous, cerise-coloured tutu with shimmering silver details, perfect for a ballet class on Kepler-186f – their instructor was quite impressed with my style! The fabrics were simply divine! The way they flowed as I twirled – oh, the pure bliss!

Tutus Around The World: New York Edition

And what’s a trip to New York without a bit of a ballet history lesson? Did you know that this amazing city was once home to the iconic Tutu House? Built in 1857, it was an elaborate structure adorned with all manner of tutus, designed by the most sought-after designers of the time.

Sadly, the original Tutu House was demolished in the 20th century, but its memory lives on in the hearts of tutu-lovers around the globe. Now, imagine that! Imagine being the envy of everyone in the galaxy, with a collection of stunning tutus in a building entirely dedicated to your favourite garment. My inner tulle enthusiast is doing backflips right now.

Now, I wouldn't want to keep you in suspense. You all know I love sharing my outfit inspiration, so I have to tell you what I was wearing for my adventure in New York. A blush pink tulle tutu, naturally, with a sequined bodice for a touch of sparkle. I paired it with a vintage white lace cardigan - I swear, it felt like I’d just stepped out of a ballet scene from a classic film! For footwear, it had to be a pair of sparkly silver ballerina pumps, a classic for any stylish, twirling traveller.

New York, You Had My Heart

As always, I can't leave a planet without saying a little thank you for the experiences I've had, and the incredible energy it has shown me. You know how much I love travelling, exploring, and dancing my way around the universe. New York City is a true testament to the vibrant and magical power of a well-crafted tutu and a twirling heart!

So there you have it, my darlings! I'll be sure to keep you posted on my upcoming ballet performances and adventures, because trust me, there's never a dull moment in the life of a tutu-clad intergalactic ballerina! Don’t forget to check back next Wednesday for another dose of Pink Tutu World!

In the meantime, be sure to twirl with joy and spread the pink!

With love and glitter,

Emma, the Pink Tutu Princess
