Hello darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new blog post! And, as always, it's time to spread the love and magic of pink tutus far and wide. This week, I'm back on Planet Earth after a whirlwind adventure across the cosmos, but believe me, even this gal, who lives and breathes for glittery twirls, has to admit: sometimes, there's no place like home.
Let's get down to business, shall we? Last week's escapades took me to the dazzling shores of… well, it's a bit of a secret, shall we just say an entirely new dimension of the universe? That’s right, you'll have to wait for the next post for all the juicy details! But what I can tell you is that it was all thanks to my fabulous performances last month, which were totally out of this world. (Ha, see what I did there?) My "Tutu Twirls and Interstellar Dreams" performance tour, which was funded by the generous applause and generous donations from you lovely people, really blew my mind. Each show was a glittering masterpiece, every dancer an enchanting star. Let’s just say the audience response was… well, just think of the loudest, most enthusiastic, star-struck applause ever. They went wild! And, it seems the locals loved my little signature piece – a daring leap off a spaceship while wearing a pink tutu! Oh, darling, it was perfection!
Of course, every true pink tutu-loving dancer has to have some off-duty adventures. And let's face it, who doesn't love a good shopping spree? Luckily, my intergalactic travels have allowed me to browse boutiques beyond the wildest of dreams. Picture this: shimmering silk, shimmering feathers, shimmering sparkles, all for a cosmic discount! And of course, I picked up a few new tutus… you can never have too many pink tutus! Just as a disclaimer, these cosmic shops really have no idea what 'cheap' looks like – they've still got much to learn from our earthly boutiques!
Now, onto the heart of the matter. Back on Planet Earth, I've had a wee little ballet schedule update, so if you happen to be a true-blue fan of tutus and are on the planet, why not take a trip to Derbyshire? My beloved hometown of Derbyshire, nestled amidst the picturesque hills of England, is where my love affair with ballet started, and you just have to believe me when I tell you that there's magic in the air! There’s no place like a familiar hometown, really! I love bringing all the sparkle and fun back here and letting everyone get a little taste of my own adventures, right on their doorsteps! This weekend I'll be hosting a masterclass on ‘Tutu Etiquette’, yes, darling, it’s an essential piece of ballet education! The tutus, the history, the rules! My fellow ballerinas and I will also be showcasing a little performance in my favourite ballet venue… It’s the kind of theatre where you feel all the magic happening right in the air! It's almost enough to make you want to really go shopping… oh my! I almost can’t wait! You're in for a treat!
This week, as my dear friends and fellow pink tutu lovers are in the midst of preparing for all things ‘ballet’ for the upcoming shows in Derbyshire, you will find me immersed in planning for our annual ‘Wear a Pink Tutu Day’, it's our annual global tutu party – a day where every planet, galaxy and universe comes together, and we dance, we laugh, and we celebrate the joy of tutus! Now, let's make this event the biggest yet, a global celebration! Just imagine a whole planet wearing a pink tutu! What a vision! We can do this, darling!
