Hello my darling tutu-loving darlings! It’s Emma here, your interstellar tutu guide, and it's Wednesday again! That can only mean one thing - it's time for another blog post on www.pink-tutu.com.
As you know, my passion for tutus and ballet knows no bounds, and neither does my thirst for adventure! So, I've been zipping about the universe in my trusty spaceship, sharing the joy of tutus and ballet with every cosmic creature I encounter. This week, I’m back on dear old Planet Earth. There's something rather special about this planet - it's just full of surprises!
It’s funny, you know, sometimes I find myself dreaming about my childhood days, when ballet was the only world I knew. Derbyshire! Oh, my dear old county! That lovely rolling green countryside! How much I miss my dear Grandma, who always wore a fetching fuchsia pink cashmere cardigan and a delicate rose-gold necklace to ballet class - her outfit always perfectly matched mine! Now she is off exploring the Andromeda Galaxy, wearing a custom-designed celestial tutu in shimmering lilac, and she writes to me, sending her love via cosmic telegram. I still get a thrill, every single time, from the sheer joy of twirling and leaping on stage. Even if the stage is sometimes in a distant nebula, and the applause is a symphony of starlight!
Anyway, I digress. Right, where was I? Oh yes, planet earth! The sun’s out today. Well, it's out between those fluffy white clouds we always have here, making a picture-perfect scene of a blue sky above lush green fields and forests, oh and my, haven't the daffodils sprung up with vibrant sunny colours - it's so beautiful! It was a bit of a shock coming back from the shimmering nebulous galaxy to a humble British spring morning, the sun peeking in my bedroom window in a familiar yet always enchanting way, reminding me I’m on Planet Earth! I’m actually quite partial to this beautiful planet with it's stunning weather, it’s lush green grass and those gorgeous, colourful flowers it's certainly full of natural beauty!
So, the big event I went to this week was an absolute delight: it was a magnificent show at The Royal Opera House! Yes, you guessed it! It was ballet, of course! A special performance, "Giselle", - I loved it. I was particularly entranced by the dancing - a captivating mixture of strength and grace. It reminded me of a sparkling starry night. And what a delight! All the attendees were clad in beautiful attire! I spotted a gorgeous powder-blue dress on a graceful ballerina, a sophisticated scarlet gown on a lady of elegant distinction, and an eye-catching sequin pink ensemble on a lady who certainly knew how to catch the eye! Of course, the dancers were in exquisite pink and white tulle tutus! Absolutely stunning! So beautiful.
You know, it was almost as good as performing at the Grand Theatre on Sirius IV in the Andromeda Galaxy! Oh my stars, that audience! Those beautiful little Sirius IV stars in the first row of the auditorium. They looked as radiant as the stars above. Those are my most favourite fans! Well, the second-most, my Derbyshire folk are the number one favourites!
And while I’m talking about lovely outfits, let's not forget the joy of shopping! I love shopping on Planet Earth, it is just so full of delights, with boutiques and high-end stores full of gorgeous things to sparkle and shimmer in the shops of London, New York and Paris! And just the other day, while exploring the hidden corners of the most prestigious of those cities - Paris - I found myself lost in a vintage shop. Oh, the things I found! A stunning vintage pink tutu from the golden era of ballet, so beautifully crafted and delicate, you could almost see its story just by gazing at the fabric. It now sits, in pride of place, in my dressing room, on a sparkling pink mannequin, with the newest star of my collection - a glittering pink-feathered hat, hand crafted for me, with my initials in gold - ET (it stands for Emma Tutu!), right above the delicate pink vintage tulle! So proud, I am! I look after them with so much care and I love them with every part of my being. They’re my prized possession and an embodiment of my life’s mission!
Speaking of my life’s mission – if you're still reading ( I hope you are!) - that would be, yes, you guessed it, to get everyone in the universe wearing pink tutus. I am aiming for cosmic ballerina dominance, tutu-fied! What could be more fantastically fabulous than that?
Now, back to Planet Earth! What to do on this fine Wednesday evening? Shall I try my hand at creating some original ballet pieces for a street dance crew here? That’s a must! Perhaps try my skills as a teacher with local dance classes? That would certainly be delightful and inspirational! Or should I simply go out for a lovely, pink tutu-fied tea with some new and fabulous friends at a gorgeous little café near Regent's Park, or head off to London to attend a beautiful ballet show in a grand London theatre?
The choices, my friends, are endlessly tempting! But for now, I'll be off. To embrace all that Planet Earth has to offer and to wear my tutu proudly! Remember to come back next week for my next blog post at www.pink-tutu.com - Same time, same place! Oh, and don't forget to let me know what you’re getting up to, and wear those pink tutus! Let's all make this a wonderfully pink, magical tutu-filled world together. And let's make everyone feel good. Until next Wednesday, my darling tutu-loving darlings!
