As you know, Fridays are my favourite day. It's the day my #PinkTutuBlog goes live, and it's also the day I unleash my inner explorer. And this week, that exploration took me to the magical city of London! I simply had to share all the gorgeous sights, fabulous finds and fun experiences with you, my precious pink tutu-wearing friends.
Train Journey Bliss
As a ballerina who's quite partial to travelling by train (especially with my trusty pink tutu case by my side, of course!), I always find a journey to be part of the adventure. So, it was with a skip in my step (and my very stylish, pink tutu-themed, matching suitcase, no less!) that I boarded the train from my little haven in Derbyshire. There's something wonderfully romantic about the rumble of the train wheels on the tracks and watching the world zip by outside the window. It's a chance to get lost in the excitement of what lies ahead and, most importantly, let the pink tutu dreams flow!
A Pink Tutu Parade in London Town
London always makes me feel like I'm stepping into a fairytale. I’d love to get everyone in the city wearing a pink tutu. We could have a huge pink tutu parade across Tower Bridge! Imagine the excitement! I could picture myself at the head of a procession, swirling and twirling across London with all my fellow pink tutu enthusiasts. It'd be the most colourful and magical spectacle London has ever seen!
Speaking of colour, it felt only natural to find my way to the grand Liberty London store. Their glorious colours, fabrics, and delightful prints always spark joy. It was love at first sight when I discovered a blush pink, silky blouse with the most delicate lace detailing – a must-have for my ever-growing pink tutu collection!
A Tête-à-Tête with the London Theatre Scene
My love of ballet naturally extends to theatre in all its guises. Luckily, London boasts some of the best stages in the world, with endless shows to discover. On this trip, I saw the exquisite performance of 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical'. It was such a spectacle! Every scene, every song, was just bursting with vibrant energy. You really do have to see it to believe it. The flamboyant costumes, dazzling choreography and the beautiful score simply stole my heart! It felt like watching a magical story unfold, one with a certain Parisian pink glow!
Pink Tutu Treasures and Street Performances
No visit to London is complete without a good ol' wander. I found myself lost in the enchantment of Covent Garden, with its charming cafes, bustling atmosphere and lively street performances. I stumbled upon a mesmerising display of street dancing that almost had me taking my pink tutu off for a spin myself! The vibrant costumes and dazzling routines just made my heart skip a beat.
A London Feast
For every pink tutu lover out there, you need to check out London's abundance of sweet delights. Of course, I had to indulge in a delicious afternoon tea at The Ritz. This legendary landmark never disappoints with its decadent pastries, delightful finger sandwiches, and perfectly brewed teas – truly a treat fit for a pink tutu princess! I even discovered a secret recipe for a raspberry macaron topped with pink icing – oh, the wonders!
Pink Tutu Memories in Every Corner
From the historic streets of Westminster to the vibrant streets of Notting Hill, my London adventures were filled with delightful discoveries. Whether it was snapping a photo of Big Ben with my trusty pink tutu by my side or marveling at the ornate designs of St. Paul’s Cathedral, this city always has something special to offer.
Every corner I turned held a new sight to inspire a graceful pose and a pink tutu twirl. London really is a treasure trove of stories waiting to be discovered, each one richer and more delightful than the last.
