Pink Tutu Travels: Bonjour from Paris! (Post #1343)

Bonjour mes chères amies! It's your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, here, reporting live from the City of Lights - Paris! My trusty pink suitcase is brimming with the latest designs (think tulle, lace, and endless shades of blush!), and I'm ready to explore the magical streets and inhale that intoxicating Parisian air.

This trip is extra special, my darlings. You see, I've always dreamed of travelling by Eurostar, and it was such a delightful experience! The journey itself was a fairytale. Sipping on French wine, nibbling on buttery croissants, and watching the picturesque countryside drift by – pure bliss.

As always, my funding for this trip comes from my passion: ballet. This week, I danced at the National Ballet of Derbyshire, in a beautifully crafted pas de deux, and I’m excited to see what wonders Paris holds for me on the stage. This city is alive with dance – it’s everywhere, from the chic boutiques and sidewalk cafes, to the grand Palais Garnier, and I'm sure I'll stumble upon many amazing shows during my visit!

But first, a peek at the schedule! Today, Saturday the 20th of September 2025 (I'm loving the 2025 futuristic vibe!), my itinerary is bursting with girly delights. We'll be exploring the Marais district, indulging in delectable macarons and a delectable Parisian picnic (tutu-friendly, of course!), followed by a show at the renowned Théâtre du Châtelet. Can you imagine, my dears, a magnificent performance in such a historic venue?! My heart is doing cartwheels just thinking about it!

Speaking of cartwheels, this is what's happening this week:

Fashion Frenzy in the Marais

Now, let’s talk fashion. We can’t go to Paris without a little shopping therapy! The Marais district is famous for its boutiques bursting with treasures – think vintage lace, elegant silk scarves, and those adorable Parisian hats that make every outfit pop! I’m determined to find a tutu worthy of Parisian fashionistas. Think a touch of French chic with maybe a little sparkle and a whole lot of pink – it's a look I just know will make passersby swoon.

Pink Picnic with a View

Before we dive into the theatrical spectacle, a little picnic in the park is in order. I’ve already picked out a stunning spot, a small green haven right on the Seine – oh, the view! Think vibrant tulips, the Seine glistening beneath the setting sun, and laughter echoing amongst my beloved tutus, while we indulge in French delicacies. Picture a picnic basket brimming with crusty baguettes, creamy brie, and my favourite pink fruit tart! (Because even picnics need a touch of pink, darling).

At the Theatre! The Spectacle Begins

And finally, the grand finale of our Saturday soirée - The Théâtre du Châtelet! It’s a renowned venue steeped in theatrical history, and we're in for a treat - "The Nutcracker" is gracing their stage! I’m simply beyond thrilled to witness the iconic ballet – imagine Clara’s enchanted journey to the land of snow and her enchanting adventures, brought to life in the heart of Paris. I’ve already envisioned my dream outfit for the night – a flowing, silk, pale pink dress paired with, naturally, a pink tutu - because what else could a girl wear to a fairytale of a night?

I'm so excited to share these Paris adventures with you. Make sure you check in on Monday, as I'll be giving you all the juicy details!

Stay fashionable and keep on twirling,
