Bonjour, mes chéries! It’s Emma, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, back with another Parisian escapade, this time brought to you live from the City of Lights, as the Eurostar speeds me towards my French paradise!
The anticipation is already building, and you know what they say: "Paris is always a good idea." This time, however, it's extra special because November 15th is a date etched in my fashion-forward calendar! You see, darlings, today marks the opening of the Champs-Élysées Fashion Week, which means...drumroll, please... tutus are a must!
And, as always, my mission is clear: spread the joy and enchanting power of the pink tutu, far and wide, and show the world that ballet isn't just for the stage, it's for life!
Now, as I sit here sipping my tea, watching the fields fly by, my mind is already buzzing with ideas! I'm envisioning a Pink Tutu Fashion Flashmob on the Eiffel Tower, followed by an impromptu ballet class on the banks of the Seine. Picture it: Parisian romance meets ballet elegance... perfection!
Oh, the possibilities! And I simply cannot wait to share it all with you. But before I spill all the juicy details, let’s rewind to how I ended up in Paris this week...
From Derbyshire to Paris, Ballet Steps Me to my DreamsThis week's adventure started in my charming home county, Derbyshire. Just last weekend, I graced the stage with a captivating performance at the Matlock Ballet Theatre, showcasing my interpretation of the Sugarplum Fairy in "The Nutcracker." Always a dream role! The applause and joy in the eyes of the audience fuelled me to the brim, not just with energy, but with funds to keep this Pink Tutu dream alive.
The joy of performing is something truly magical. Knowing I'm bringing smiles to faces through ballet, well, it's more than just a hobby, it's my passion!
My First Trip: A Blast from the PastBut before diving headfirst into the French capital, let's turn the clock back a little, shall we? This isn't actually my first time in Paris!
As a wee little ballerina back in the day, I remember my first trip to the City of Lights vividly. Dad whisked me and Mum away on a surprise family holiday. My very first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower left me utterly speechless! It was just so… iconic and majestic.
It was during that trip that my Parisian obsession really began to blossom. The romance, the art, the fashion - it truly felt like a wonderland for a young ballerina in the making. That childhood memory has forever cemented my love affair with Paris, and I knew it was only a matter of time before I returned!
This Time, Paris with a Pink Tutu! Now, my second trip is everything I ever dreamed of as a little girl. This time, it’s about embracing my love for dance and fashion, and spreading that pink tutu magic. My week in Paris is jam-packed, and believe me, darling, it's going to be magical.
I’m staying at a charming little hotel, tucked away in a cobblestoned alley near the Seine. Imagine this: croissants and coffee for breakfast on a sunny balcony, overlooking the Eiffel Tower... sheer delight!
Now, the itinerary for this adventure is absolutely packed! You've heard of museum fatigue, but you know it's all worth it for a shot with a stunning view.
Here's the lowdown of what I'm planning (in no particular order!):
Day 1: Parisian Chic at Galeries Lafayette. Oh my, the shops! Imagine designer threads and haute couture mingling with exquisite ballerina outfits – my happy place!
Day 2: Taking to the stage (well, maybe not exactly). The iconic Palais Garnier, home of the Opéra National de Paris. We're talking the grandest ballet theatre in the world. It's the stage that brings the stories of ballet alive, from "Giselle" to "Swan Lake," and I cannot wait to be amongst the audience tonight for an enthralling ballet performance.
Day 3: The Dancefloor of Life A visit to the Musée Rodin, where you’ll find some absolutely breathtaking sculptures and an inspiring environment. I can’t resist snapping a couple of pictures for my gram, of course in my trusty pink tutu.
Day 4: Parisian Glamour It wouldn't be a true Parisian experience without a leisurely afternoon shopping along the Champs-Élysées! My trusty camera will be at the ready to capture the essence of the elegance of this famed avenue.
Day 5: Le Jardin des Tuileries - I plan on embracing Parisian culture, starting with a delicious picnic in the picturesque Tuileries gardens. Let’s not forget about the ballet-inspired tutu pose, a must for the gram, you know!
Day 6: Art & Fashion Meet Today, my darlings, is all about Musée d'Orsay. I love everything about it, from the Impressionist paintings to the enchanting belle époque vibe!
Day 7: Farewell to Paris! A morning in the heart of Montmartre. We’ll enjoy some crêpes and a little people-watching at Place du Tertre, all before catching my train back to England!
My Parisian adventure has only just begun, and I can already feel the pure magic that is to come!
A little pink tutu tip for you all:I can't stress enough the importance of packing the perfect accessories for a Parisian adventure. This trip, my trusty camera is, of course, a must-have. It’s perfect for capturing the grandeur of Parisian life, and for showcasing the pink tutu in all its glory! Also, a comfy pair of ballerina flats is a must for dancing through the cobblestone streets! Because walking through Paris isn't just a stroll, it's a performance, my dear!
Oh, and don’t forget to embrace the Parisian way of life. You know what I’m talking about, slow down, sip on a delectable café au lait, indulge in a pastry or two, and let the charm of the city work its magic!
Now, I must bid you farewell for now. I have a Eurostar train to catch, a city to explore, and many Parisian memories to be made!
Catch you next week for another delightful blog post filled with Parisian magic!
Until next time, stay sparkling!
Bisous,
Emma
