Itâs Emma here, your friendly neighbourhood tutu-wearing travel enthusiast, writing to you live from the City of Lights! Itâs officially Pink Tutu in Paris, and I am bursting at the seams with excitement, ready to share all the sartorial delights, artistic discoveries, and delectable delights Iâve stumbled upon. Letâs dive in, shall we?
This week, my journey to Paris started, as it often does, with the gentle thrum of a Eurostar carriage. Oh, the magic of gliding through the English countryside, past emerald green fields and quaint villages, to arrive in the bustling heart of Paris! The excitement building with every clickety-clack of the train wheels on the tracks.
Once in Paris, I couldnât resist indulging in a little pink power â what else? â by donning a tulle-filled confection of hot pink goodness. This delicate creation swirled and twirled as I embarked on a whirlwind Parisian adventure.
The morning began with a visit to the MusĂ©e Carnavalet, where I got lost in a labyrinth of historical delights, discovering fascinating stories of Parisâ rich past. The building itself, a former private mansion, was a delight to wander around, its cobbled courtyards and opulent rooms offering a glimpse into a bygone era.
In the afternoon, I treated myself to a slice of Parisian perfection at Angelina, that exquisite tea room famous for its decadent hot chocolate. I simply couldnât resist the alluring scent of their iconic pastries â a heavenly indulgence that paired perfectly with a delightful chat with my dear friend Sophie, a fellow tutu enthusiast I met on my first trip to Paris!
But what would a trip to Paris be without a dose of culture? We headed to the Grand Rex, a stunning art deco cinema for an enchanting performance of the timeless ballet, âSwan Lakeâ. It was magical. The intricate choreography, the haunting music, the sheer elegance of the dancersâŠit was simply breathtaking! After the performance, we spent some time reminiscing over a glass of something sparkly in the theatre's delightful champagne bar.
Paris is like a delicious macaroon â layers of artistry, culture, fashion, and romance all bundled into one exquisite bite! As the sun began its descent, casting a warm golden glow over the cityscape, I found myself mesmerised by the enchanting sight of the Eiffel Tower shimmering in the twilight. A perfect ending to an unforgettable day in the heart of Paris!
