Prague Dreams in Pink: Post #1609 🩰💖

Hello darlings!

It's Emma, your resident pink-tutu enthusiast, and I'm bubbling over with excitement to be back in Prague for another week of delightful discoveries. This enchanting city never fails to steal my heart with its fairytale charm, cobblestone streets, and, of course, the incredible ballet scene!

This week, I'm all about channeling that quintessential Prague romance, embracing the cobblestone streets, and indulging in all things ballet - of course! My journey began with a delightfully picturesque train ride, complete with fluffy clouds and fields painted in springtime hues. (I wouldn't be me without my signature pink tutu, naturally.)

Speaking of picturesque journeys, I can't resist sharing a little secret: the train was not my only mode of transportation this time. In true whimsical fashion, I treated myself to a leisurely carriage ride through the Czech countryside! (Think majestic horses pulling a stunningly ornate carriage, and me looking fabulous in my favourite bubblegum pink tutu, obviously!) It was just like stepping into a scene from a beloved fairytale.

My favourite part, besides the blissful breeze in my hair, was the genuine delight in the eyes of all the passersby. A single twirl of my pink tutu sparked joy wherever I went, and watching their smiles as they realised what they were seeing brought me immeasurable happiness.

The pink tutu: truly, it's the key to a fairytale existence, and the best part is - anyone can wear it! Remember, darling, the pink tutu is about expressing your unique, individual style.

Dancing Dreams in Prague

Upon my arrival in Prague, I was straight off to the magical world of the National Theatre. As always, it felt like stepping into a captivating world.

I had heard whispers of an intriguing ballet performance scheduled for the evening, so you know I wouldn't miss it! The programme, "A Night in Bohemia," showcased some incredible choreography set to captivating Czech folk music. It was the perfect blend of elegance, tradition, and a touch of mischievous playfulness, perfectly encapsulating the magic of this incredible city. The ballerinas, a kaleidoscope of graceful movements and perfectly pointed toes, made the stage a beautiful kaleidoscope of movement.

Now, my dear readers, let me tell you about the show! It truly blew me away! "A Night in Bohemia" was pure artistry – every pirouette, every leap, every extension felt like a poetic expression. The stunning choreography brought the stories of Bohemia to life, from ancient legends to folklore tales.

After the curtain call, I managed to sneak a peek backstage - always a delight for this ballet enthusiast. The air buzzed with excitement, the energy electrifying! I exchanged smiles with a few dancers who were genuinely so kind and gracious. It was wonderful to chat with them about their love of ballet, Prague, and (of course) tutus! The backstage of any theatre is a magical world in its own right, a symphony of creative energy that's absolutely inspiring.

Finding the Perfect Pink:

Every trip to Prague has to include a spot of shopping, especially when it comes to fashion. The charming shops around Old Town Square beckoned me in with their stunning displays and vintage treasures.

I couldn't resist browsing the beautiful antique clothing shops - so many fascinating finds from bygone eras, but you know me, I always end up looking for something in pink. This time, it was a vintage blush pink bolero jacket with delicate lace trim - perfect for a Parisian afternoon stroll. I absolutely love finding unique, vintage pieces and adding them to my pink wardrobe. It makes the shopping experience that much more magical!

My search for the perfect shade of pink extended into the charming, little cafés that line Prague’s enchanting streets. There I sampled some of the most delightful pastries and decadent desserts, and sipped creamy, hot chocolate (of course, it was pink, too! I've got a reputation to uphold, darling!).

My heart has fallen for the café by the river. This little hidden gem is filled with comfy velvet seating and delicate china teacups – truly delightful. There I indulged in an exquisite afternoon tea, enjoying delicate sandwiches and delectable macarons with a delightful blend of fragrant tea, and - you guessed it - everything was presented on the prettiest shade of pale pink china!

A Day Trip To Český Krumlov:

After my enchanting adventures in Prague, I felt an irresistible urge to explore a little beyond the city's borders. The call of the countryside, with its whispering forests and idyllic villages, lured me away from the bustling streets for a day trip to Český Krumlov.

Nestled beside the meandering Vltava River, Český Krumlov charmed me instantly with its medieval grandeur and enchanting beauty. This historic city with its fairytale castle, stunning baroque architecture, and breathtaking views from its steep cobbled streets seemed straight out of a movie set.

But my darling, how else to visit Český Krumlov, besides a majestic pony ride through the scenic countryside? I'll give you a clue: think long flowing hair, pastel pink tutu, and a gorgeous, white pony named Cloud, prancing across a verdant landscape - just like a real-life fairy tale!

It was a fairytale journey in every way, taking me from charming villages, through enchanted forests, across the vibrant Vltava River, to the very doorstep of Český Krumlov. There, Cloud's soft snorts and my tutu’s swirling fabric blended perfectly with the picturesque beauty of the countryside. The idyllic scene melted my heart and filled me with an overwhelming sense of peace.

In Český Krumlov, I took time to truly appreciate the charming, picturesque world around me, pausing to soak in the stunning views from the Castle Tower. The city unfolded below, like a delicate doll’s house, complete with tiny houses, whimsical streets, and a winding river. The quaint shops, vibrant colours, and charming restaurants beckoned with promises of delightful discoveries.

Fashion Finds in Český Krumlov:

After wandering through Český Krumlov, it’s only natural that my love for shopping followed me there, and my pink heart was set on discovering hidden treasures! A delightful vintage clothing shop with its walls overflowing with vibrant colors caught my eye. This treasure trove had it all: retro hats, playful patterned scarves, delicate vintage blouses, and even a truly irresistible fluffy pink coat!

The delightful owner, a lady named Anna, took a liking to my pink tutu and shared with me some of her fascinating stories about local textiles, her love of collecting, and her grandmother's collection of vintage ballet tutus. She had them displayed in a corner, lovingly preserved like little relics of the past, their delicate layers and soft tulle a reminder of an era filled with grace and beauty.

A Ballet Inspired Life:

Prague and the ballet scene here have enchanted me more than ever. You’ll be pleased to hear that the "pink-tutu life" is flourishing and I'm already making plans to come back soon. This captivating city has made my dreams come true in so many ways. Every visit brings new discoveries, unforgettable moments, and a growing sense of passion for all things ballet. It’s inspiring to share my passion with the world. Every twirl, every arabesque, and every elegant pose fuels my creative spirit and inspires me to continue to share my pink-tutu dreams with you all.

So, keep those tutu dreams alive! And remember - no matter where life takes you, let your own pink tutu become a symbol of your unique spirit. Until next time, darlings!

Lots of love, Emma x
