As I pen these words, a soft drizzle is falling, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, painting a romantic backdrop for my adventures in the Eternal City.

Today, 17th December 2025, marks another exciting Wednesday in my life – Pink Tutu Wednesday to be precise – and this week's escapade finds me embracing the vibrant streets of Rome, a city brimming with history, culture, and a dash of dolce vita that would make even the most hardened ballerina heart skip a beat.

Before we dive into my Italian delights, let's chat about my journey to this magical metropolis. As a devoted devotee of the train, I couldn't resist indulging in a scenic train journey through the Italian countryside, savouring the breathtaking scenery while brainstorming future pink tutu dance routines. You know me – inspiration strikes at the most unexpected times!

The train ride was a true pleasure, complete with a delightful Italian couple who couldn't resist joining me in a spontaneous performance of "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy." Yes, even in my pink tutu, I managed to steal the spotlight and share the joy of ballet with newfound friends! (Cue the hearts and flowers emojis!)

Landing in Rome felt like stepping into a cinematic masterpiece. The historic grandeur of Termini Station instantly transported me to another era, and the vibrant energy pulsating through the city centre was infectious.
