Buongiorno from Rome! It's Wednesday, the 13th of May 2026, and the sun is shining bright, casting a warm glow over this glorious city. I'm wearing my brand new blush-pink tutu, paired with a flowing white silk dress and my trusty, pink ballet flats. You see, it's a must for any fashionista, let alone a ballerina, to wear pink on a trip to Italy, don't you agree?
This week, I'm thrilled to be sharing my Roman adventures with you! It's my first trip to the Eternal City, and let me tell you, it's truly breathtaking. The energy here is intoxicating, with the sound of street performers, chatter in the cafes, and the honking of scooters forming a unique and vibrant symphony. I just know it's going to be a wonderful adventure, filled with gelato, stunning architecture, and maybe even a spontaneous dance or two in the Piazza Navona.
How I Get to See the World: The Ballet Ballerina’s Travel Hack
For those who are new to my adventures, I fund my travels through my ballet performances. Each week, I perform for a different organisation, charity or group, bringing the joy of dance to communities far and wide. This week, before arriving in Italy, I performed for a school fundraiser in Derbyshire, my home county, where I received the most lovely bouquet of pink roses - just perfect for my Roman trip!
My Love for the Rails
The train ride to Rome was truly magical. I love the feeling of the rhythm of the rails, the world passing by in a kaleidoscope of colours. I found my little corner of the carriage, snuggled into my pink velvet cushion, and spent the time watching the world glide by, enjoying a lovely English cuppa with my pink porcelain travel mug. Speaking of pink...have I mentioned how much I love it? It's the colour of dreams, romance, and boundless happiness. It brings a smile to my face, and that's what I want to share with the world!
A Wednesday in Rome: Food, Fashion, and First Impressions
Today, I'm taking a tour through the city centre, discovering the wonders of Rome's history. I'll be visiting the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Pantheon - the iconic sights that have captivated travelers for centuries. You just can't escape the feeling of stepping back in time here!
Later on, I’m off to explore Trastevere, a charming neighborhood known for its winding alleyways, hidden piazzas, and artistic spirit. There's an exciting new art exhibition called "Dances in Stone" on at the Palazzo Barberini that I've heard great things about. I love seeing how art can bridge different cultures, tell stories and ignite imaginations.
And, of course, no trip to Rome would be complete without experiencing the city's culinary delights. I'm looking forward to trying the delicious pizza, pasta, and gelato. The gelato flavours are literally bursting with colour and life – pink pistachio, blueberry sorbet, and of course, creamy strawberry! I'm going to make it my mission to taste all the colours of the rainbow.
My Rome Look: Pink is in the Air
For my Roman adventure, I’ve packed a pink-themed wardrobe fit for a ballerina princess! Think flowy, pastel-pink dresses, vibrant tulle skirts, cute little ballerina flats in a soft peach shade, and a chic straw hat for those sun-drenched moments. I'm not afraid to express myself, and my wardrobe always reflects my love of colour and my dedication to my ballet passion.
Pink Tutu Inspiration: A Message to the World
There's something so powerful about the pink tutu. It represents freedom, joy, and a touch of magic. When I put on my tutu, I feel unstoppable, like I can achieve anything. That's what I want to share with the world. I want to inspire everyone to embrace their inner child, their creativity, and their joy. Wear pink! Dance! Embrace life with open arms and a happy heart. That’s what makes the world such a wonderful, colorful place to be.
So, come back next week, dear readers, to follow my journey through Rome! I'll be sharing more adventures, style tips, and everything pink that I discover on my Roman adventures. Remember, it's a new week and it's time to unleash the pink in your hearts and dance your way into a wonderful week!
Until then, ciao bella, and stay fabulous!
Love,
Emma
