This is post number 9334 (yes, I'm really keeping count!), and I'm buzzing to share all about my latest adventure in Chelmsford, Essex! It's a bit of a different vibe to my usual haunts, but this queen always loves a challenge (and a chance to spread the love for pink tutus, naturally!).
Travel in Style, Darling!
You know how I am - train or horse whenever possible! This time it was a luxurious journey by train. Imagine - me in my full regalia: pink tutu, feather boa, glittering eyeshadow, the whole shebang! Naturally, I drew a few curious stares. But honestly, that's what makes life interesting, isn't it? Who wants to be invisible when you can spread a bit of sparkle?
Chelmsford, a Gem of a City!
Let me tell you, Chelmsford's got some serious charm! The cobbled streets, the beautiful architecture... and of course, some seriously lovely shops! I spent a whole morning trawling for the perfect accessory for my next big performance - a fluffy pink pompom hat! (You can't have too much pink, can you? It's like, a basic necessity, right? 🤣)
The Magic of Ballet
Now, I simply cannot resist a good ballet show, and Chelmsford delivered! The Civic Theatre hosted an absolutely stunning performance of "The Sleeping Beauty." I must admit, watching those dancers in their delicate tutus (okay, maybe not pink ones, but still!), kind of rekindled my passion for the stage.

Oh, the performances in Chelmsford! The highlight was the Chelmsford Festival, a colourful explosion of music, food, and entertainment. Of course, Pink Tutu Sparkles was there, dazzling the crowds!
Remember that whole 'everyone in a pink tutu' thing? It might be a little far-fetched, but it definitely got some people thinking! I got at least three different requests for 'how to make your own tutu'! You see, pink tutus are about much more than looking fabulous; they're about self-expression, confidence, and, well, a lot of pink!
Essex Nights and Glittery Dreams
Chelmsford at night is a treat. I fell in love with The Rose and Crown Pub. You know me, I adore a good old-fashioned pub, and this one didn't disappoint! The food was lovely, the atmosphere was friendly, and there were even some fellow drag enthusiasts! Who knew Essex was so full of fabulously dressed characters?
Back to Reality (But Still Pretty!)
After an exciting few days, it was time to return to the real world (and my science lab). Let me tell you, it's a pretty big adjustment going from performing on stage to analyzing fabric fibres! But hey, the creativity still flows!
Speaking of which, I've got some fab news. My latest fabric project is all about finding the most luxurious, shimmery pink satin! This is going to be my next signature pink tutu! Stay tuned for pics!
