I’ve always been a fan of exploring the great British countryside, and Rochdale promised an eclectic blend of history, culture, and…wait for it… BALLET! 🩰
You see, my darlings, my heart beats for the art of dance! 🩰 Ever since I slipped into a tutu for a university charity event (and haven’t looked back since!), I’ve been besotted with this graceful and expressive art form.
I was particularly excited to see the Rochdale Ballet School's summer recital! Imagine a stage filled with beautiful, twirling dancers, all wearing shimmering pink tutus. Just divine! It filled my heart with such happiness, and honestly, I may have let out a little tear of joy during the finale. 😭
But my Rochdale adventure didn't stop with ballet! This enchanting town is also home to the beautiful Rochdale Town Hall, a Victorian masterpiece. With its soaring columns and elegant stained glass, I could hardly believe my eyes. Talk about an amazing backdrop for a tutu-clad photo shoot! 💖📸
After snapping some pictures with the grand Town Hall as my backdrop, I had to treat myself to some afternoon tea! Afternoon tea, you know, is the best way to rest your tutu-wearing legs after a day of sightseeing. 🧁☕
Speaking of legs, those gorgeous Rochdale ladies are definitely putting mine to shame! I love how confident and sassy the women in Rochdale are, they’ve definitely inspired my next few outfit ideas.
Oh, and did I tell you about the fabulous market in Rochdale? It’s brimming with charming little shops, bursting with local crafts, vintage treasures, and yes, you guessed it – the most exquisite tutus! 😍
Of course, no journey is complete without indulging in some local cuisine. Now, let me tell you, the fish and chips in Rochdale are truly a treat! I even found a bakery selling these delightful pink cake pops, and guess what? They were pink tutu themed, too! Talk about serendipity! 🎉
