Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the most adorable little town, Waterlooville! Honestly, you guys, this place is just charming. And guess what? It's post number 9647, can you believe it?! This is why I do this, spreading the pink tutu joy, one fabulous post at a time!
Okay, so first things first - I came to Waterlooville by train, of course. Always gotta make an entrance! The station was surprisingly charming. Imagine, stone walls with blooming vines and even a little tea shop next door. I couldn't resist grabbing a lovely pot of Earl Grey and a scone, all while sporting my most magnificent pink tutu, of course! (And my travel companion, "Lady Buttercup", the trusty suitcase that houses my entire fabulous wardrobe, even had a little pink tutu on her handle. 😉 )
Anyway, the Waterlooville folks were just as delightful as their station. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, even a little lady who was definitely channeling the vintage vibes, all decked out in floral prints and a hat with a giant flower. We had the most delightful conversation about hats, I'm thinking about investing in a feather boa with a little rose attached…
Speaking of vintage vibes, my performance space was right out of a fairytale! It was called the “Fairylight Theatre”, how perfect is that?! And the stage was all decked out in glitter and twinkling lights. The owner, a sweet, kind chap called Benny, let me decorate with extra pink, naturally. And let me tell you, those pink fairy lights against the dark red velvet backdrop just gave off a magical feeling. I'm thinking I need to invest in some pink glitter cannons, though… maybe for my next Waterlooville adventure?
But let's talk about the real reason you guys click on my blog posts – THE FABULOUS SHOW! You wouldn't believe the response! The crowd was a perfect mix of little ones, teenagers, and grandparents all buzzing with anticipation. I performed all my classics, “Tutu Magic”, “Sparkly Dance”, and, of course, “Pink Tutu Power” – the crowd loved it! You guys should see those kids’ eyes sparkle as they sing along. You'd think I was singing the most iconic children's tune – which, in my pink tutu world, I sort of am!
What's really exciting though? This whole adventure is more than just performing – it's about spreading the message of love and acceptance. You guys know I believe in letting your inner pink tutu sparkle shine. After the show, a lovely couple told me how much they enjoyed seeing me because their son wanted to be a dancer and I gave him the confidence to embrace it. It warmed my heart! Seeing the spark in their eyes and feeling the energy in the air? That's the best feeling ever. And guess what? It made me realize, Waterlooville, you guys are just a pink tutu miracle waiting to happen! And that is a truth worth spreading. 😉
But, wait there’s more! Because a trip to Waterlooville without a proper afternoon tea just isn’t right! I ended up finding the cutest little cafe called "Tea with Tilly", owned by a woman with a twinkle in her eye named Tilly who absolutely loved the colour pink (she even had pink cupcakes!), it was practically destiny! We had a delicious time discussing fashion and the importance of finding the pink tutu inside. I’m telling you, it was like being caught in a whimsical, sugar-coated dream! Seriously though, Waterlooville – you've stolen my heart, and maybe, just maybe, even "Lady Buttercup’s".
