This beautiful town in West Yorkshire is positively brimming with pink-tastic energy, perfect for your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles! Now, let me tell you, Guiseley, it's a bit of a journey, but I wouldn't dream of travelling anywhere without a proper adventure. And, let's face it, my dear readers, there's no adventure like hopping onto a train. With my fabulous sequined backpack, I bid farewell to my lab coat in Derbyshire and hopped onto the first train north, armed with a trusty travel tutu and a smile wide enough to light up the entire carriage.
Of course, travelling by train is so much more fun with a fab outfit. I simply couldn't resist popping on my favourite pink satin bomber jacket with a tutu tucked underneath. I mean, who says you can't be stylish and comfy on the journey, darling?
You know me, I adore finding hidden gems in each town I visit, and Guiseley, you certainly didn't disappoint! I stumbled upon the most adorable vintage clothing store ā think feather boas, sequins, and oh-so-stylish hats! I practically danced out of that shop with a new fluffy pink beret perched atop my head. It matched my fabulous tutu perfectly!
Speaking of tutus, a fellow pink tutu lover, Fiona, took me on a fab adventure to the beautiful Aire Valley Countryside. She, bless her cotton socks, showed me a stunning walk. I don't think I've ever seen so much green, it practically glowed with the colour of my favourite shade! I simply had to twirl! But darling, just try doing it with a fluffy beret on. My darling, thatās no easy feat, let me tell you!
You know, the more I see this green world, the more it inspires my pink tutus! Thereās something so lovely about the contrasting colours of nature. Imagine the dazzling combination of bright green fields, dancing with a cloud of pink tutu frills in the gentle wind. It would be a truly delightful and unforgettable vision! I canāt wait for you all to join me!
Now, what would a trip to Guiseley be without a visit to a charming pub? And believe me, I had my heart set on a little bit of local indulgence! Iāve been on the road so long, a pint of local cider, topped off with a sprinkle of local fairy dust, and a slice of a gorgeous strawberry pie was calling my name.
I do love a slice of traditional English pie. I must admit though, I am a bit of a cake aficionado. But when you've got a sparkly pink tutu and are feeling tired, well, it just seems so perfectly fitting. It is all just so quintessentially English. Now darling, you know I love a good dose of theatre!
Now darling, there's a great local theatre here in Guiseley, which hosted a local production of Cinderella, oh, how I love a bit of panto! You see, it's the ultimate pinktastic experience! My love for all things sparkly doesnāt just stop with a pink tutu you know. I do have a bit of an affinity for ballet. A little-known fact about me ā by day, I am a fabric scientist testing new fabrics for durability in my lab back in Derbyshire. By night I strut my stuff, in my very own dazzling pink tutu. I was a keen member of my university's ballet club, and I just couldnāt help but slip into a sparkling tutu at one of their charity events. From that moment, I was hooked, you could say!
So yes darling, seeing that fabulous production of "Cinderella", with its graceful ballerinas twirling on stage in their beautiful tutus just set my soul on fire! I'll be popping along to see a couple more performances and I'm even considering doing some ballet classes! The universe keeps bringing my passion for tutus to life, and it's magical, absolutely magical!
Speaking of magical, Guiseleyās hidden gem is its charming little bookshop, tucked away in a quiet corner of the town. I found it after a delightful chat with an incredibly stylish local. Itās true what they say darling: āDon't judge a book by its coverā. It had all kinds of wonderful treasures. A whole stack of fairytale books with colourful, fantastical, pink-tastic covers, just waiting to be explored. I do love a little bit of escapism, you know. Thereās something so fabulous about curling up in a fabulous pink fluffy bathrobe with a sparkly pink tutu and a magical fairy tale. Just picture that! And guess what? This magical bookshop is just what the doctor ordered for me!
Thereās more, but this pink tutu needs her beauty sleep! As I sip a cup of lavender tea, tucked in my very pink fluffy robe and a sparkly pink tutu, and write this blog post in the dimly lit, peaceful environment of a tiny quaint cottage I found for my stay.
